Sherri, I'm curious what you decided to do or if you found information elsewhere? I'm unfamiliar with that salvia cultivar, but have grown several species from seed, many not quite hardy here. Mulch was the only winter protection I provided and several survived a few years. We had a rough winter last year that finished off any borderline hardy varieties.
