Because our winter light quality is dreary, I try to wait until late Dec to put up the bubble wrap on the ceiling, trying to maximize available light. Or I might leave some sections uncovered where I've spotted some plants that need all the light they can get. I also hang reflective mylar emergency blankets on the east and west walls to bounce the light around. My north wall is the heated garage.
