I usually start them inside but a lot of people will sow them in milk jugs "winter-sowing" style. However, they don't need the cold stratification so you can place them out in early spring rather than in early winter. They also self-sow here but with special, commercial seeds I'd still want to provide protection so they didn't wash away or become bird and rodent food.

If they price them like the others in the series, then I think I'll get the large pack since it is such a better deal and the seeds stay viable for years.
