Daylilies
from the Rices, 2014

Nice flower but low growing and rust susceptible (2015)
Scape height improved (due to the wet winter?); blooms could open better (2016)
Slight irregularity of form but still garden worthy so long as there is no rust (2023);

Never bloomed. Had to discard some daylilies, and since parentage is rust susceptible, this went.

Taken in early evening; foliage in summer is always ratty looking

Daylilies
Relatively narrow (for tet) dark green foliage; typically produces polys at low %, maybe 20%. Does not seem to pass on poly trait when crossed with non-poly cultivars.

Blooms slightly chalice shaped, never flat or slightly recurved. Blooms cannot handle cold nights. Bloom color is variable and may be temperature dependent; sometimes they are more blue-grey or blue-lavender, sometimes more orchid in color.

Seedling of this plant (other parent unknown) obtained from J. D. in fall of 2016; in pot
