I have very few daylilies blooming yet. I have a few that have been here at least one year and the others are new arrivals this spring.

Ruffles Have Ripples - if you enlarge the photo you can see the pattern in the eye.

Port Orange is such a soft orange. My photo doesn't capture enough of the orange color.

Wispy Rays is an old one but I like it very much. It has a little thrip damage. I sprayed last night and hope that takes care of most of the thrip damage. Some buds will already have been damaged. This is its FFO.

Maureen Faber - terrific pod setter

This photo shows how I keep my pollen. I use 7-day pill containers and label each compartment. I keep these in the same order in the pan, so I soon learn very quickly where every pollen is located. The pan goes back in the fridge when I come in from pollinating. I refresh the pollen every few days when I have fresh pollen, but most will keep this way for about a week. When I am pollinating, I try to keep the pan with the containers in the shade as much as possible. I can add pill containers as needed. Sometimes when I am at peak bloom I may have as many as 12 pill containers of pollen. I pollinate a lot because I sell the seeds to support my addiction Hilarious! Rolling on the floor laughing

A couple of seedlings. This first one is a cross of Watermelon Taffy X Tequila Mockingbird, both having orange in them. What a surprise on the color of this FFO.

Wow SP Hot Tamales is really ORANGE. Love the second seedling, is that the same cross as Diamond Diva? Keep the pictures coming.

It is so hot today, going to be 90, I'm in for the day.

Love the gorgeous photos. Thanks for including
the info on keeping pollen. I haven't experimented
much with length of viability under different conditions. Good to know you
can carry it outside and use, then replace it in fridge.

I had several FFO's today. I hope you find something you enjoy.

Bella Isabella - FFO

New Paradigm (FFO) was a new plant last year and had small anemic-looking blooms. I am so impressed with it this year.

Ethel Buccola (FFO) is another Trimmer soft orange. It is a great performer and reblooms off and on all summer.

Orange Grove - FFO

Abileen Lillian - FFO

Barbara Burkhart has had a hard time as a new arrival and is finally starting to look better. It definitely is not where it should be. I know that next year will be a different story. The sepals are about the widest I have seen.

Ann your blooms are just wonderful. I see so many crosses you can make so look forward to your seeds when they are done. I adore Ethel Buccola and hope my New Paradigm blooms like yours this year.

I have 2 crosses of seedlings this year with Ruffles Have Ripples, I hope they take on some of that eye pattern. Your Pic. shows it quit well. Loving all of this. Thanks

Thanks to everyone for your comments. They are greatly appreciated.

This morning when I went outside to go see what was blooming, I heard a weird noise and looked and this is what I saw in the street a couple of doors down. I quickly grabbed the camera. I think they had just landed.

Follow Your Fancy - FFO - gave me two blooms.
Thumb of 2012-05-19/farmerbell/1e9d4d

Dragonfly Dawn gave me twin blooms this morning.

Free Wheelin' - I brought a bloom in and measured it a couple of days ago. I did stretch it out, which I know you are not supposed to do for registering a flower and it was 13". Those of you who grow lots of spiders think nothing of this, but for this person who fancies round and ruffled, it was astounding.
Thumb of 2012-05-19/farmerbell/13f548

Four Eyes is getting better. It is intimately acquainted with Dragonfly Dawn pollen.

Orange Cherry Jubilee is more cherry than orange today. Some of that could be my camera.

This is the second bloom on a seedling I posted a few days ago. I used Michele's trick of focusing on something else, holding the shutter half way down and then moving the bloom into focus. I seems to be helping with photographing the reds and purples and other really dark colors. This is Ethel Buccola X SC Hot Tamales. It has the coloring of Hot Tamales but has a darker eye, which I guess it gets from Ethel.
Thumb of 2012-05-19/farmerbell/ed69c3

This is a white seedling that I am evaluating. This is a second flower and the sepals are not behaving well. I did divide it last fall, so maybe that is the cause of poor performance. I grow a lot of white daylilies and this is as white as any of them. I did nothing to the photo except crop, label and resize - did nothing to enhance the color.

I love the ETHEL BUCCOLA x SPC. HOT TAMALES seedling. Also the other is so nice, maybe the canoeing will lessen as is matures more. Hope so as it is lovely.

Ice Crystal is just awesome, it will improve, look at how beautiful it was last year. You forgot to put the name on it. Also like the orange seedling.

Glad your Follow Your Fancy bloomed, mine is recovering in the hospital area lol. It might live.

LOVE the hot air balloons.

Isn't Dragonfly Dawn awesome, mine is reblooming now? Four Eyes is yummy.
