Thanks Michele, I've got a good stock of pollen and I'll try this to see how it works. I gathered my pollen today around 9am and alot of it was not showing at all. I brought it inside asap to stay cooler. I was amazed that it fluffed up on all of it. Some showed nothing but black this morning and when I worked it up this afternoon, it was as fluffy as can be. Darn sweat bees are gathering it faster than me if I don't get it early. Most of mine are in full shade until around lunch time. This helps with the heat some, but it got up to 105 today. That's just too hot for anything! I was inside by 11 and stayed in. I caught up on laundry, dirty dishes and actually cooked some pasta and rolls for supper. So, today wasn't all bad!!!

I did the full dose in March and have been using MG spray but it's been two weeks since I sprayed. Could that be a problem?

No, every 2 weeks is good Mona. It's probably the heat I'm sure. The hotter it gets the less pods will set. Last year when it got in the high 90s and 100s I didn't set any pods at all and I had a shade cloth up. I'm no longer pollinating so I don't know what the percentage would be here on pod set.

Here's a couple new ones. They pretty much resemble the parents.

Nice seedlings, like PCxHH and Kims the best. Its sure to hot in Miss. to set seed. I haven't set seed in about a month so the sweat bees can have all the pollen.
This is about the 22nd and 23rd seedling I have selected and looking back at the cross's most of the eye and edge have the pollen parent TAL OF GASCONE X SOUTHERN DAZZLE. Forty Five of the seedling photos
I have posted here since spring have this pollen parent.

I pollinated a few yesterday, mid 90s, will soon see if they set. Lots of bee pods
this year from sweat bees, which are fighting me for the pollen. Have not seen
this many sweat bees in many years. Hope they have not messed with my
crosses.

Beautiful seedlings Fred and Michele. I like all of them. Can't choose a favorite.

I've got sweat bees by the thousands, too! Darn things. They only get the best pollen in early morning and then go after the rest later on. I've had to learn to grab the pollen as soon as I get outside.

I'm sure that I won't have anymore seeds set pods since we're breaking all kind of hot temp records. It was 106 today and that was in the shade! Supposed to stay like this for a week. I'm watering like crazy but this is bad. No rain in site.

Here's one of James from yesterday. It's the FFO, I looked at all the buds and this is the only poly.

It has Absolute Ripper as pollen parent, and I'm not sure of pod parent

Strange baby from that cross. HB24 will be released in the spring, this was best seedling at the Pensacola Show three years ago as a one year old.

Lovely Michele, you sure a bee didn't sneak in there with some pollen from a yellow bloom. Hilarious!
