This image was taken right out of a magazine featuring AOS awards. It is Phalaenopsis Taiwan Red Cat 'Greer'. You see flowers similar to yours on the left and solid pink flowers on the right. What is both troublesome and amazing is, THOSE ARE ON THE SAME SPIKE!!! Yes, the same spike, no photoshop, no image trickery, the same spike.
You would think that on a spike, the flowers would be the same. Obviously, that is not the case. I have no idea if it blooms like this every time or not but this is incredible. It just shows you what kind of crazy stuff can happen with the genes controlling flowers.
