Thanks Michele! R&R is really pretty, not quite as dark in the base color as I had first thought. Not sure why I didn't think to google it for images. All the ones I found show varying degrees of pattern, but always a pattern. A few of Mort's plants do ok here I have Labyrinth and Blues Avenue in a protected south facing bed. Most definately not happy this far north but they do bloom so I can use them on my hardier seedlings. Blues Avenue doesn't like our cool mornings and has trouble opening sometimes, Labyrinth opens a bit better. The pattern on BA is really compex with ripples and breaks, hoping it will pass some to the seedlings.

I'm looking for one or two dl's with patterns of light, either dark eyezones with breaks or pattern watermarks, on a dark base color to add for use with similar sdlgs to this one if anyone has suggestions I can check out.

This weeks Garden of the Week on Charlotte's Daylily Diary website was Bob Faulkner's garden. There are some very nice images of his garden and pattern seedlings. (If you click on the "return to GOTW archive page" link at the bottom of Bob's page it will take you to other Garden of the Week entries.) Nice to view on cold or rainy winter mornings.

Maybe she could become a member. That would be an asset. I visited Bob Faulkner's garden in 09 or 10 maybe. It was stunning, walking thru his rows of seedlings. So many beautiful blooms. He was a very good host and easy to talk to.

We added Chaotic this past spring. I'll have to check to see if we took a picture. We are getting Whale Tails in April from Brown's Ferry Garden. We are also getting a couple of 2013 introductions and getting 20% off our entire order.

Debra,

You know it is going to take a lot of dragging the hose around huh, my poor son, he does the watering. And with pots we have to water every other day.

I ended up ordering three of Heidi Douglas's dip intros: DATING A ROYAL, MEME'S TUITTI FRUITTI and DANCE WITH SOMEBODY; and 20% off my total order was really nice! I'm not working with dips, but I'm in love with the big green throats and these look wonderful -- and two of them have ROSE F. KENNEDY as the pollen parent. I'm going to put all three in my garden so I can hopefully enjoy them all summer. Which intros did you order from them, Doris? I was really taken with Charles's SUNSET RENDEZVOUS, MISS MARIE and BROWNS FERRY QUEEN OF HEARTS also -- maybe next year...

Betty, we are getting DATING A ROYAL and MEME'S TUITTI FRUITTI (2013 intros) plus Whale Tails, Coach's Hot Lips, Swallow Tail Kite, Don Herrell, and Cat Dancer from their general sale list. What a difference 20% off makes! I also want DANCE WITH SOMEBODY, IT STARTED WITH A WHISPER, and I'M GONNA LOVE YOU THROUGH IT. Charles and Heidi are coming to the Middle GA. daylily club in April. I am hoping that they will bring one or two of these, and if the bidding does not go too high we might get lucky. By then, I'll have a better idea of how much planting space we have left (or how many more will be donated to club plant sales) nodding .

A few weeks ago I added Chaotic to the list of plants to come this spring. Hoping the pattern from Tet Dark Mosaic will come through with the pattern seedlings I have. Planted seeds from Tet Crystal Blue Persussion before, they were sent as bonus seeds. The seedlings were pretty, but the plants were extremely tender. I did get a few crosses done with several of them onto hardier plants and have kept a few of those seedlings to continue working with.

I guess I should share some of the registered patterns I have and will be using...no one has shown these yet so maybe someone can shed light on their experience with them if they have them. My biggest concern is Tri-color as I still haven't(2 seasons) had any seeds fromTri-Color..and I love it! ...in 2011I acquired Last Song and love the purity of it and think I should be able to get something nice from it....Marsailles Watercolor has been skimpy in bloom but still hangs in there every yr(3yr last summer)..nothing yet in seeds...I transplanted it in a better section last summer so didn't breed it. I bought Bit of Blue at the same time I bought Tri-Color and it has NEVER bloomed and is still very tiny! I also bought Static-same time- and no bloom yet...I am thinking they are just too tender in my zone 5A garden. Also I have Cosmic Odyssey and it just thrives even though last summer wasonly its 2nd yr here...didn't breed because of the drought..bred a small amount later in the season after it was spent. I have, and love Visual Intrigue but it doesn't like to give me seeds....5th yr and gave up trying a few yrs ago...I am thinking that many of them are only pollen fertile and I want to have them be pod fertile! So here is

so you can see I had plans for doing patterns but have been halted so to speak...I do have a few of my own that I would call simple patterns and i will try to upload those if you are interested.

any input would be much appreciated!

Hi Nancy, I'm just wondering about your image of Cosmic Odyssey. Mine looks totally different from yours, even in bright sunlight??

And Marseilles Watercolor looks different too.

Well these pics were mostly taken early AM so maybe that is the difference. Just wondering?

Some have mentioned 'Get Jiggy.' It took about 3 years to show pattern and that can still vary.

I was pleased one day last summer to see multiple blooms showing pattern.

I'm so thankful I was able to purchase Get Jiggy this past Fall. I think it's one of the prettiest patterns around, for a tet anyway. I'm still resisting ordering any dip patterns but I swear since the 2013's have started showing up, I don't know if I will be able to hold off on dips or not. Also the prettiest prism's are dips too and of course I love them too!! It's just so much easier to keep seeds straight if all you cross is tets.
