But in a case like that, it would be like the "Plant Habit" pulldown is. You have to pick one, or none.

That means that every plant would need to be specified in advance which it is.

So there can be a checkbox for "Salt Tolerant" under Miscellaneous. Then a pulldown somewhere under that for "Level of salt tolerance" or something like that and then in there are the various options you can choose.

I'm in the process of re-doing my list in alphabetical order if that's okay? I'm an ABC type of gal and don't know why I didn't compose it in that manner to begin with. *Blush* I should have it finished shortly and then I will delete the first list and paste the alphabetical list into my original post.

That sounds great Dave. Would you still create us a list like the duplicate list, so we can have easy access to the plants that need that information added?

I tried to edit my original post by deleting the list and then copying and pasting my new alphabetized list into the post ... but it didn't work. It pasted but it was a bunch of skewed weird characters and symbols. The entire page looked like this:

• !"#$%&'()'"*(+#",$'-*(."'-*(/%0*(

Should I just begin a new post and list the plants in alphabetical order? It makes it easier when it's all alphabetized and I can't believe I didn't do that to begin with.

Dave: That's the original ... I retyped my list in alphabetical order in a (Mac) Word document and this is how it shows up when I paste it into my post:

Hurray! My husband figured out what I'd done wrong. Apparently I typed the information into a word document but saved the file as both a word document and as a pdf file. I was trying to copy and paste from the pdf file which can't be done. Duh. I am so technically challenged!

Anyhow ... I finally was able to edit my original post and the plants are now all neatly listed alphabetically .... I'm now going to delete the pdf file so I don't confuse myself again. Smiling
