I've seen Whiskey Mac even Oranger than mine is. I'm not sure if soil, temps, water, or what has an impact on it's color. It is a fun rose though, no matter what shade it is. Mine is more pastel in cooler months, but in the heat we're having now it's more pink/orange.
Forgot to say, Steve, that the description of Jean Giono is correct: It never puts out a bad bloom. They're all perfect. The one I have growing in the sun is about 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide, but I have one in the shade that's more upright than bushy and is about 5 feet tall.
