Hi! I had my fiddle leaf fig outside for the Atlanta, GA summer and it has exploded with growth and was extremely happy. I brought the plant in ~early Oct and put him back in a South by Southwest facing window (the usual winter spot) and he's dropping a decent amount of leaves that don't seem healthy. I've barely watered the plant since bringing it inside. Is this just a case of the lower (older) leaves getting patchy and falling off or do I have a potential issue?

Thanks!
Dave

Sorry no response. I have never had one.
How is it now?
I don't know how you can best manage water needs with that kind of pot. You must have done well over summer though.
Plant it and they will come.

That is very limited water for two months time. That could be the cause of the droopy leaves.

When the plant changes environment from outside, to inside, there can be some level of shock involved. Droopy leaves could be a result. It is really hard to properly diagnose for us.
Resume its normal watering schedule and see if it does not improve.

I agree with @BigBill. The plant that size will need more watering especially in good light indoors. It prolly cannot support so many leaves in lower light: it is normal for them to drop some older leaves when brought indoors. Keep it warm (better above 70f), and in 4-5 hours of sun. That amount of leaves even in large pot will need watering once a week : stick a dowrl/chopstick deep to see how wet it gets. If wet , wait, if just damp on the bottom third: water.

One more: is there a hole in the bottom of the pot? I see no saucer to catch run off. If there is no hole you are in trouble: your mix seems to have a lot of perlite, so prolly drains well, but without the hole the water will just sit on the bottom and cause root rot.
Outside in the heat and better light they can take a lot of water , but indoors pot without hole will not do (outdoors with lots of rain it'll drown the plant too, of course..).
