From the trumpet(?) in the background, I assume we can rule out weather. And whether it is caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi or, non-pathogens (chemicals, etc.) or a combination, I wouldn't take a chance at bringing in yet another potential problem you might have to deal with now and into the future.
I've not grown it myself, but isn't Miss Freya a fairly old cultivar that would have stood the test of time? So for it to be affected so severely, I would be afraid that whatever it has is very bad. I would chuck it.
