I have noticed a few examples in the Echeveria database where the species page has pictures of their hybrids. These pictures of the hybrids should get moved to their respective places. For example in the
Blue Echeveria (Echeveria secunda) page there are a lot of mislabeled photos which are
Blue Rose (Echeveria 'Imbricata') , which is a secunda hybrid (secunda x metallica).
A good rule of thumb here is that 'Imbricata' has wider, more spatulate leaves than secunda. Secunda usually has pointed leaves, and is a smaller plant.
Here is a comparison.
Another example is the
Echeveria (Echeveria purpusorum) page, which has a lot of mislabeled photos of the more common E. purpusorum hybrid,
Echeveria 'Dionysos' . This is not surprising because E. 'Dionysos' is commonly sold as E. purpusorum in garden centers.
A good rule of thumb here is that 'Dionysos' has more obtuse leaves, with less intense markings compared to purpusorum.
