Okay, Peach Pie Crust had it's second bloom today. This dl is stunning to me. I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love. Now I can't wait for next year to see how many scapes, bud count & branching on it. The bloom has real substance which I really like. This is listed as an early/midseason but here it is Aug. & it's blooming. That tickles me pink. I'm learning as I go as to what blooms when in my new location & just how long bloom season may be.

Goofy is a good name!

Toothy and pie crust edges, lots of uf's, really nice blooms everyone! What a differencee a few degrees makes. The past few mornings have been 53 - 55 and many of the dl's were opening pretty well. This morning was 49...yesterdays blooms didn't close and todays didn't open, picked everything off to start over fresh tomorrow. Sad thing is it is suppose to be a bit colder tonight...

I've been busy with visiting family for the last few days and they are not that much into gardening so I have not been spending much time in the gardens Have missed quite a few blooms. I really like this! I'm happy.
The color is not a strong as the one in the db. I don't know if that's b/c this is a young plant for me or if the 1 in the db has been "adjusted". Here's a link for the one in the db:


At any rate, even if the color of mine never comes up to the 1 in the db, I still am happy & like it very much!
