I am retired.If I didnt have the garden to obsess about I would go nuts.
There are plenty of hours to plan things and take photos.

The snow is gone and the garden is beginning again.
Just a few blooms and promise of iris reticulatas and fully opened helebores (I wish they faced up )

does stink that you have to get on the ground to appreciate them but I love them anyway

At least you know what to appreciate after getting down on your knees. Jo Ann I think I will rather wait except for few spikes of green the bear looks all forlorn.

I know, the poor little bear wont be alone for long. Poor thing looks soooo lonely . I wonder what is the itinerary for the bear this year?

Arif: She and her cub will be seen shopping at the stores in the Mall late at night.
They go there after I retire early and watch TV.
She knows I disapprove but the strange credit card charges for garden hats and frocks were explained that way to me..
She has promised to not buy stuff anymore.
She will stand in Poppies and early Phlox in late May and June, echinaceas and lilies in late June and July.
She said she loves her spot with a view of the sunsets so I said the views would change if I found anymore charges,she gets it and will comply.

She looks so passive but is a bit of a rebel.

Isn't that called passive aggressive. It's hard to believe she is capable of such bad behavior.

I guess the label doesnt matter as long as she is willing to stand in one spot 4 seasons around.

I used to give answers like that to my children as "life lesson #5" "see if you know when mommy is just making things up."

That is exactly what I thought when I read it, see mommy is making a fool of me like I make a fool of my kids. It is a game between us but they grow up and that's it .
Pheew, its so hot today even with the fan on, what will summer bring .
