Ooh apple sauce cake? Sounds/ smells good. Ooh apple scent. I forgot to look it up. On it right now. I can't seem to find the michelia skinneriana yet. It's confusing with the michelia Figo.

The talk of apple scent reminds me how much I like the smell of Rosa rubiginosa, even though it's a noxious weed here. I keep just one plant which I can smell its green apple scent at twenty metres away on a damp day. I remove all the hips every year to prevent it spreading and make them into syrup.

Sounds like you're handling it quite well!

Brunfelsia (Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow) in bloom right now. I love it.

A Satsuma tree and a lemon tree both in bloom in the greenhouse on nippy spring days. Wonderful fragrance nails you when you walk in.

Confederate Jasmine which will soon start to bloom for one glorious month here.

A pot of fragrant purple petunias on the front porch by the porch swing. Its' fragrance grows stronger at dusk.

And I have an unknown summer blooming Crinum which is absolutely wonderful when the scent drifts by on the hot evening breeze.

I love it... you can ask for favorites from 100 folks and get 100 different favorites. Fun Thread! Hurray!

I have a great passion for the scent of the elderberry blossoms. Many times I would leave my house and start down the path to the car and have to stop and enjoy the scent of my elderberry blossoms.

Hello there, I stumbled on this thread...has anyone ever grown mignonette? Found some seeds from Piggy Swap and it is supposed to be very fragrant tho not much to look at. Seeds already germinated and now I'm trying to plan where to plant the seedlings. There are a lot, so maybe I'll put some along edges of front garden and some in pot on front porch. Annuals I think.

Hello all. While I am crazy about irises, the reason I first started growing bearded irises was for the scent. I absolutely love the smell of bearded iris. And yes, they ALL have a scent, even though most aren't labeled as fragrant. Been addicted to smelling irises since I was very little and my Dad grew them. So sad they bloom for just a month or so a year!
Jasmine and honeysuckle on the night air are also divine.

Crittergarden - that is the tall bearded iris "Grateful Red." Got it as a Scheiners Iris Gardens bonus and it has been just lovely.
