One of my favorites is the Orange Jasmine tree (Murraya paniculata). I have three of them which bloom at least 8-10 times a year and you can smell the fragrance across the street.
The height is between 12-15 feet. This is a big butterfly, and bee attraction. I stood under one of the trees about two weeks ago, when it was in full bloom; closed my eyes and just listened. The soft hummmmm of the bees (I have a lot of Mason bees) was beautiful. I do what I can to attract the butterflies and a lot of times I will raise the Monarchs.
Another fragrance I love is my sweet Almond tree. Again, this one blooms a number of times during the year. There are other plants that I love and for their fragrance, but they're shorter lived; my Don Juan climbing rose, for instance. Since I live in Florida, a lot of fragrancy from plants (flowers) don't last too long.
