Wow, Michele, that's fantastic! They are such nice people, and their DRAGONFLY DAWN and WAVES OF JOY seem to have to have gotten so many people really excited, including me! And it's especially wonderful to me that both are tets! I just wish I could see pictures of their futures, and I'll bet he will show slides of some to share with your club. I hope you'll share with us information you learn from his program, as I for one would really be interested.

Wow Betty thats an awesome order. I can't believe how many multiple fans they sent. I have several coming including two that you got, Angel Love and Dan's Garden Party. I'm getting Nicole's order this week. Maybe next week I will have Trimmer ship to me. I have to space my orders due to my son helping me. I don't want to stress him out.

I got mine from Trimmer last Monday. I didn't have a chance to take a photo but they look like Betty's. Trimmer also donated a huge box of daylilies for our Spring Regional meeting we are having in May; 8 of them were 2014 intros.

Betty, he did show us some photos of his seedlings, mostly patterned seedling from DRAGONFLY DAWN; they were all gorgeous. He did show some TET seedlings with huge green throats like RFK and Timestopper have (like the prism daylilies). He showed his 2014s and 2013s also plus photos of his kids, grandkids, him and Jane (younger photos), where he got started. He did show some future and select seedlings that are very nice; there is a cristated one in there that is pretty.
This was basically a farewell presentation as him and Jane will be cutting back on what they are doing. He will still be hybridizing but he wants to cut back and not do as much and not do so many speaking engagements (maybe 2 a year) because he wants time to travel and spend time visiting his son and other things.

Daylily Mecca is coming up here in Central Florida May 16 - 18.
Some fantastic growers are taking part and I'm trying to save a few dollars for the event.
I think Trimmer is one who is also part of it, and certainly has been generous with the clubs.

I was at the point in life where I could talk myself out of buying most anything; then, I got interested in daylilies...

I'm jealous of those going. I want to soooooo badly. I thought this would be the year, because I would still be able to drive down and I could take a little time off from work but it's the same weekend as commencement and Mother Dear was not letting me off the hook for that!

I'm still trying to guess when I can have things delivered. I'm likely going to move to the middle of April and cross my fingers!

I agree I would love to go to Daylily Mecca, but it's not gonna happen. Unless I win the lottery. Then I can go. I can't get off in May. Pool season is in full swing then and there is no way to get 2 days in a row off, let alone a weekend. Crying Sad

James, the middle of April is pushing it. I usually wait till the first two weeks in May. Got burned like that one year trying to keep plants alive indoors waiting for it to warm up outside. Who knows, we may finally get a miracle this year.

Mike we are usually ok by then. It's not warm by any stretch but fine for daylilies and some other annual planting. This year on the other hand...

I was really hoping to get bloom out of some of these but as they say, the best laid plans...
