Yes, I am trying to grow black goji berries.
I don't know how they will work here , but a good experiment maybe.

At Eight Forty P.M. is is 48 degrees and lightly raining.
The snow will be mostly gone so a white Christmas is in jeopardy but as after this average to below average weather is coming we shall see.
I said in some thread I was going to get a Christmas tree early well, prices made think two-three-seventeen times but I found a place where any Balsam or Pine, if I cut it is 28 dollars so I have to get myself out there this week and get one.

Alternative was Menard's and there trees are mediocre at best.

Unless there is a heatwave between now and Saturday we have plenty of snow for a white Christmas, it snowed Friday and Saturday, and with past snows I think there is probably an accumulation of at least 1&1/2 feet, or more, on the ground. All the trees are covered in snow, looking very much like Christmas. Smiling

Just a couple of days to the winter solstice... I am really looking forward to the longer day-lengths! Hurray!

We go lots more snow, and now we are in the deep freeze, -14 F, -26 C ,it's windy blowing the snow around, very unpleasant for DH shoveling snow. Sad

Snow and wind is suppose to move in here tonight and not so cold until Tuesday night. Winter is here for sure, although the snow is welcome. Shoveling snow at that temperature is for sure dangerous. Hope your DH has good covering and doesn't stay out to long so he doesn't get frost bite.

While we were down in the Twin Cities yesterday for Christmas dinner at Sharon's Niece's house there was a dusting, literally , you could have cleared the side-walk by getting down on your knees and blowing on it, but to my surprise it was all gone, as if it were never there this morning and it is only in the twenties.

It is 23 right now with heavy clouds; supposed to get light snow. Sadly we are headed for sub-zero weather next week and barely any snow cover up here and none down South.
I wish we had Margaret's snow. Grumbling

Happy Boxing Day.

Our 16" a week and a half ago, disappeared quickly with the 47deg temp and rain, mid week it's going to get chilly mid week, with possible snow tonight through tomorrow.

RpR and Rj, hope you get enough snow for some good insulation before the cold moves in. Crossing Fingers!

I waited quite a while for that snow cover, I was really worried the cold would come before the snow, thankfully it didn't. Tonight the temperature is supposed to go down to -26 F, then slowly start to warm up to a more reasonable cold. Hilarious!

We had such beautiful weather yesterday and today - sunny, with the high temp around 35°F. We took a ride along the lake (L. Michigan) today and it was gorgeous -- some ice forming near the edge but mostly all open water (and this is just a smaller bay off the Bay of Green Bay); with the sun shining the water was a deep blue color, with just a few small whitecaps, really breathtaking!

We have some upcoming nighttime temps in the low teens and single digits, no minus temps in the near future -- but we are supposed to get maybe 3-5 inches of snow overnight and tomorrow, which wouldn't be a bad thing. Take care when dealing with the snow and cold, everyone!

We picked up 3-4" temps going down to 05F tonight, forecast not to be above 20F until the following Tuesday.
