I have been bidding on the LA and had one another from Annette Rice. I thought I had been sleep bidding when I saw I had 2 pages of wins from the LA lol. It was a computer glitch. She was trying to send me a invoice while Mike was working on the website.

I've been bidding and winning a lot in the past 30 days. I saved up money for a Floyd Cove order for my birthday present to me. But I found most of what I wanted on LA for a lot less, even though most are single fans I got some really good deals, in most cases no one bid against me. I won 31 daylilies mostly from Tink, Mljomo , and Abundantdaylilies. I love Stamile and Pierce!

Yes, he is actually happy that I got what I wanted. He knows I can not resist a bargain and at that price I could hardly control myself!

Mike - I am in love with Rainbow Maker!!!! What a remarkable bloom! I won a seed auction where Man in the Moon was the pod parent and Rainbow Maker was the pollen parent. Can't wait to see that one germinate and bloom! 5 seeds, so one of them has to blow my mind when it blooms! Both daylily blooms are really, really, stunning ... so what would they produce together? My mind can really daydream on that one! Bloom "size" should be interesting ... a midget crossed with a giant. LOL!

Though I am going to email the seller because I am wondering if the pod name is incorrect. The photo posted for that seed auction had the Man in the Moon blooms that looked just like Master of the Moon:

My only concern is that it is a dormant daylily. We'll see how it does in Florida....

The seller quickly answered me back about "Man in the Moon". This is what she said about the cultivar name of the pod parent:

"Yes Man In The Moon is right-it's my new 2013 intro. You can use the AHS data base search. Type in Man In The Moon under the cultivar search. Details are with held until 2014."

Her bloom photo looks very similar to Master of the Moon cultivar. Petals and Sepals are longer and narrower, though.

I always speak of the great thing about perennials saving me money because I don't have to replant them every year. My DHs hobby is bass fishing / hunting so that's get pretty expensive too. My son told him, well at least Mom can sells some of her stuff Dad lol. Gotta love kids!

That's my husband's hobby too Teresa, along with deer hunting.

Yes, my guys do also, Cindy. Crossbow, bow, black powder and gun. We are in a very rural area and deer are so plentiful. I have hit 3 with my cars over the yrs. DH has too

I never dreamed I would pay this much for single fans, but my space is limited and I want to plant good stuff so when it comes time to divide I can do some trades. Other wise dividing would be pretty boring.
