Mulching done for the year. I finished mulching. I collect the fall leaves and put them around the garden.

We got super lucky on this latest storm. I feel for all the folks south of me, though! Dallas is a MESS!
All we have here is frigid cold and wind, little bit of dry snow, but no ice.
The new computer is set up now, so I may be able to post photos yay!
The screen is a whopping 20" and it makes me feel like I'm falling into the flowers when I look at closeups !

Oh I am so sorry....We've been through those kinds of ice storms and it is sickening. You will be trimming broken branches for months to come.

Well, last nights small amount of snow did in any rose blooms left but today the shrubs are still green. Maybe cause the temps went back up and it rained. Washed away the small amount of snow. More expected tomorrow, plus cold so I guess the roses really are done for the year.

I don't spend much outdoors this time of year as all my gardening is done till next spring. Indoors for the winter, have to make sure I am not a couch potato so I exercise each day on my Gazelle Glider exercise machine. Don't need extra exercise in the summer as I am busy with the garden. But making sure I don't gain weight over the winter so back to my winter indoors exercise routine.

Still doing my exercise and working out each day. I use my Gazelle Glider exercise machine. Started up in late November, it was before Thanksgiving I am pretty sure. Time gets muddled up in my mind!

Anyway, I plan to keep at it all winter just like I did last winter. No more couch potato all winter for me, I am not wanting to pack on the winter weight.

You're my inspiration! I stepped on the scale last night and it shrieked in pain. So, starting Monday when I get back from vacay, to the gym I go nightly. I was thinking about getting one of those little Gazelle's but dunno if it be strong enough to hold my fat rear end.

Toni, do start back up on your exercise program. Remember, never give up. If I don't exercise in the winter, I gain weight. Gardening season is okay, I do plenty out in the garden so don't need indoor exercise but come late Fall and Winter and it is exercise time again.

I am cooking spare ribs in onion soup in the oven today. I slow cook them, it takes hours but they turn out so tender and tasty.

Oh no. You take the raw spare ribs and put them flat in a pan for the oven. Then you add Campbells canned French onion soup so that they are half covered. Then bake in the oven at 325 for at least two hours. Turn over and cook for at least another two hours.

The ribs turn out so tender and tasty. In fact I just had dinner, just finished. It was sooooooo good.

Oh, that is my kind of recipe. It will warm the kitchen end of the house and it's easy.

I am making a pork roast with sauerkraut in the slow cooker today. Not quite so easy, but very tasty.

Having a nice glass of red wine for dessert!

Home raised ham, with sauteed green beans, asparagus and onions topped with swiss. And boiled new potatoes. And spinach salad. Tossed together at the last minute from stuff lying around the house and it came out great!!!
