A new one added this past spring that is quite a beauty is Surrounded By Love (L. Grace). The hybridizer's description is "light pink overlay".

Love, love, love the pinks! Can't wait to see more and will add some of my own when I get home.

I got Dragon's Eye in a clump sale and really love it.

I love the pinks when they actually look pink. Something about my soil (I think it's the high pH) tends to make my pinks look 'muddy'. I'll see a gorgeous pink in someone else's garden, plant it in mine and it frequently falls flat.

ANGEL OF PEACE Tim Bell. Not all of Bell's daylilies do well for me here in 'cold winter' country, but this one seems quite happy.


BETTIE LOUISE PRINCE Jack Carpenter. Very pretty pink!



BONIBRAE BABY BLUE EYES New to my garden from Barry Matthie in Canada. I think I'm going to really like this one. Hoping it will be a good parent for me too!




BONIBRAE COTTON CANDY SWIRLS Another one from Barry Matthie that is new and hopefully will produce some interesting seedlings for me.




LOTUS POSITION John Rice. Love the huge watermark and pinched petals.

So many beautiful pinks in so many shades. Some of these kind of fall into the lavender shades, I think.

Flight of the Raven was outstanding in 2013. Hope it does the same this year.

Love those seedlings, Sandi! And I was thinking the same thing as you... I didn't have as many pinks as I thought.

Has there been a pink daylily named for Cancer survivors ? I would like to gift my sister's oncologist with a nice pink daylily. I don't have many, the ones I do have are older ones.

Teresa, the only one I'm familiar with is one of Heidi Douglas's introductions from last year, I'M GONNA LOVE YOU THROUGH IT. All proceeds from sales of that daylily are donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Prostate Cancer Foundation, National Brain Tumor Society and National Multiple Sclerosis Society to show the people suffering from these terrible diseases that we are gonna love them through it, and I think it's a beautiful daylily -- although still on the pricey side…
