Love the name Panties in a Knot! It is a pretty one too.

Sue, Clowns Cabaret is simply gorgeous. It actually looks as if it has "clown" qualities, fun and colorful.

Tiki God is really cool and Panties in a Knot is such a fun name. Found a few more while waiting for dinner to cook....

Oh so nice, Char! I really like Belle of Ashwood and have seen it before, but always enjoy seeing pictures of it.

Ballroom Blitz is a strange color indeed, but I like it. And since I like to watch Dancing With The Stars, or any ballroom dancing for that matter, I can totally see these vivid orange and pinky colors being used together

Betty, do pleateds really look good? not deformed?

I don't really have any of the pleated daylilies, but I did get one flower on my PINK LEMONADE PARTY that looked a little pleated, and I really liked it -- but you have to look closely to see it.



And I think ANATOMY OF CHANGE looks fantastic!

Betty, where was your new avatar photograph taken?

It was taken at Schreiner's Iris Garden in 2010 when my sis and I were in Salem, OR during the height of my iris frenzy. And that spring was one of the rainiest they'd had in a long time, which is why I had my jacket and Disney World poncho wrapped around my waist. It rained while we were at Schreiner's, and then the clouds parted wonderfully to give us a break!

I love all of the pleated sculpted pinks. Very nice!

It's Vatican City (Moldovan 1996), an oldie but goodie. Mine is growing in part shade, so the color is a little more dark and rich than in other photographs I've seen. Here's another view of the whole flower, from last summer's garden:

I had one and gave it away after three years--it NEVER looked like that here! Yours is beautiful.

Ann, your second picture of Ode to Lenore is just as pretty as the first! I would love to have this daylily in a painting.

I had already looked it up on AHS and was wondering about the picture there. It didn't look nearly as good as yours. I'm glad to know yours looks more true to what it actually is.

For some reason it reminds me of a little girl in a pinafore. It just has that soft, feminine look to it. And I love the way the stamens look color coordinated with the soft pink petals.

Vickie, maybe you could persuade Sharon @Sharon to paint it? Offer it as a prize in one of the not-a-raffles like she did last year. Sharon, I have an ATP flowerpot mug I'd send to you as incentive, hmmm?

It really is a beautiful bloom.
