Oh wow, Cinta. That's gorgeous. Thumbs up What type of soil do you use in your pots without holes?

It looks kind of familiar. Maybe one of the variegated gingers?

The plant is Tricolor Stromanthe.

I grow all my plants in a soil that my local nursery sells called Black Gold. I use a mixture of epsom salt, beer, molasses that I put a tablespoon of that in a gallon of water.

I am not suggesting anyone do this but it has worked for me for so many years it is just what I do. I am sure people water their plants and would have a lot of dead plants. I just do not water as I said in the winter they get a sip in the summer I just turn them and drain the water.

Here are more plants that have been in pots with no holes for years.

I put this in this pot when it was a little 1.00 plant. I finally had to break the pot to get it out.

i've never seen a red euphorbea lactea (that's what that is, right?). looks stunning! does it always grow like that, or some special conditions are required?

It is a .Euphorbia trigona 'Royal Red. It is always red but I grow it in full sun in the summer and it gets whatever sun it can get in the winter indoors.

I brought it at a discount store that did not even sell plants but had a few little cactus and succulents in small nursery pots for 1.00. I was looking for a pic of when I first put it in this pot. It was only a little 2" baby.

Yes I find more different odd plants in the least expected place than in the stores.

I could not believe my eyes last yr when I saw odd cactus in the drug store. I do not know where they would get them because it could not be a local cactus farm because it is not like we have great cactus weather. Rolling on the floor laughing
