Thanks, Sue. That is Henryi clematis and the stamens do match Rip City but I've never gotten a good shot showing the match. Maybe this year.

Hit another nursery yesterday to pick up a couple of tomatoes and artichoke, also bought a Jackmanii Superba to add to my large rose trellis.

Took a few more photos, this one with the lime green feverfew Golden Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium 'Aureum') is in my garden, I bought this clem Clematis 'Haku Ookan'a couple years ago at Lowes. The feverfew was a self seeded one, what a happy accident!

Well I am hooked! I have fallen in love with clematis. I ordered six new plants from Brushwood over the weekend:

I can't wait to receive them and get them in the ground.

Luckily I have a small yard or this new "addiction" would be a real problem. The clematis that got me hooked are the two I have now, The President and Will Goodwin. I thought they might have died this past winter but they came back bigger and better. The flowers are huge and the color is spectacular. I just love them.

I started adding clematis when I moved to this present property 3 years ago, I finally had room to grow several. My first ones were planted in 2012 and it's so exciting to see their large size now!
I think Ville de Lyon is a favorite of many as I see it often, must be an easy one to grow, it's distinct and easily recognizable too.

The plants have been shipped and will be here on Friday. I can't wait. It is like Christmas in April.
