Seedfork said:So impatiens is the little seedling with the two round looking leaves? What is the one that looks almost like a purple coneflower?
If you're talking about my pic, yes the roundish cotyledons are impatiens. I didn't think anyone would notice that other one, the one that I point out in the replicated pic below. Good eye, Seedfork! I don't grow any Echinacea. Not sure what that is. They are still under the snow right now.

Obviously not Clematis occidentalis, this is a volunteer seedling from Thuja occidentalis 'Pumila Sudworth' growing in the yard. I get them in my pots now and then, but this one is exceptionally yellow. Even the cotyledons don't have any discernible green, but there has to be some chlorophyll hiding in there! It's been growing pretty slowly, at about 8 weeks old.

That's a cutie, Rick.

Today I found a single sprout of Rothrock's fiddleleaf (Nama rothrockii) clinging to the side of its plastic container, in just a speck of old peat. Hilarious! I guess it found its preferred spot. No sprouts at all yet in the starting mix I thought would be best!
