The stream does look good, I do love the blue color that one gets from the Chionodoxa blooming. Love the photo bombing cat!

Cool cat. It's really looking quite beautiful Neal and I can see the stream. Remember patience. I bet next year it will be breathtaking!

Thanks! It will indeed be fun watching it develop from year to year.

While looking at the gardens from different angles, I'm loving how the patches of color from the little bulbs is starting to give a patchwork quilt effect. It's fun to add a few patches each year. From one place I stood, the blues, yellows, and white of one area blended with the pinks of the bed behind it- made me realize how beautiful those colors are together, and it looks like Easter. Oh dear, thinking about that made me crave chocolate! LOL

Hilarious! Hilarious! Well you picked the right season for craving chocolate. Easter chocolate! Thumbs up

Photos can't do it justice I'm sure. As I look at the photos I find myself wanting to see the whole all at one time.

The buds are really pretty and pink. They will look pretty with blues mixed with them.

These are just pink. I will have to buy blue ones to mix in there. I do have blue ones but in other areas of the garden.

I thought you had mentioned adding blue to the mislabeled pinks. I'd like to try some whites too, nice bright whites really sparkle!

A few, Rita. No thousands and thousands, again, okay? Lily won't like it if she has to do without her chew toys because Mom bought a bazillion bulbs. Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

The really great part of the fact that I planted those thousands and thousands of bulbs that year, plus lots the two years before also, is that my garden is full of returning bulbs. I don't have room for such an order again and I certainly don't have the energy.

And I do have less money in my garden budget since I have Lily. Garden money is now dog and garden money. Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! And since Lily eats really expensive Stella And Chewy Freeze dried food plus Honest Kitchen and some smaller amounts of premium kibbles, (oh and some real raw meat from the supermarket but that comes out of my grocery budget) she really does cost a lot to feed considering her small size. But we are both happy.

As far as toys, her toys are all over the house.

Rita, that's a good attitude! I'm kinda thinking on the same lines, get lots going now while my body will cooperate, and hopefully when I don't have the energy and stamina I'll have the blooms to bring joy.

Oh, and speaking of high quality pet food, there have been so many recalls lately on pet foods, it's kinda scary. Sophia has sensitive skin issues, so I've been getting salmon and sweet potato food with no grains for her. It's more costly than I can truly afford, but the stories of people losing pets because of contaminated food make it worth the peace of mind. She loves the food, and the omega 3s seem to relieve her itchy dry skin. Thankfully I've found the Costco brand with the same ingredients as Blue brand, that is much more affordable.

The premium brands of dog kibbles are much more pricey but they have better ingredients so better nutrition for our dogs. Yes, it can get pricy. Good thing I am feeding a small dog.

But Lily has it good around here. We just came in from our daily exercise walk. Usually at least 3 miles. Today it was four miles. As soon as we came in I took raw chicken gizzards from the fridge (which I buy just for her) and fed some to Lily.

After eating she grabbed one of her toys (toys are strewn all over the house) and runs around playing with it. You'd think she would be tired but she has plenty of energy. Yes, I think she has it really good.

It was really almost too much to do all that but I am so glad I did do it. There are bulbs everywhere and since I planted nothing last fall I am getting a good inkling of all that will be returning pretty much from now on. I don't need to do much from now on in the blooms department. I can put in afew here and there and not overdo anything but I still should have my spring show each year.

I agree about the peace of mind. And really, grain free foods are much better for our animals be they cats or dogs. I feed pretty much the same foods as Rita but I also have a small dog.
Neal, you can try putting a 1/4 tsp of coconut oil in her food once a day -- that is added Omega for her. My dog has "allergy" skin too & adding the coconut oil made a difference. Also, I began bathing her with this:
http://www.gotpetsupplies.com/...
It has made a tremendous difference!!!!! I get an empty bottle & almost fill it with water & then squirt some of the shampoo in there to make the solution diluted and it still works great plus that stretches the shampoo dollar.
