Well, that tells you nothing. If she has the number, maybe Bob still has the records on it? It sure wouldn't hurt to ask him about it, if this is something that is important to you. If you don't hybridize, it doesn't matter either way. If you do, it is nice to know, but isn't a requirement. I have bought only one seedling, and the parents were unknown, but it is beautiful, and that was all that mattered to me. If the price is good, and you love it, that is what matters. Do get some more info on it first though, like the size of the bloom, how tall it is, if it's a dormant, and so on.

I still think she should have sold you Get Jiggy for the price you "won" for the one that she sold out of. Otherwise, she shouldn't have mentioned that it was one you could pick from. That just stinks, making that kind of offer!

Yes, I thought it stunk also! I emailed her back with more questions. I kind of basically used what you sent only changed you to I. Hope that was okay. I do want to try hybridizing and it would be really good to know the parentage but I did really like what it looked like also. I will see what other info she sends. May add her to my blocked list on LA. That seemed like some finagling going on. The old "Bait and Switch", lol.

I think it was totally "Bait and Switch", which totally stinks! To me, the ethical thing to do would have only offered you something for the same amount of money, NOT more money! If you wanted to pay more, you could have bid on that one to begin with! So ya, I've got a big problem with it. I don't mind at all that you used what I said to ask more questions.

One more thing you need to know, is if it is a dip or a tet. That will matter if you are going to hybridize. Otherwise, it doesn't matter. You REALLY need to try hybridizing! It's a ton of fun, and is really easy!

Well she didn't mention that until I emailed her back and said I'd take Get Jiggy. Then she said that one was more she was sorry she thought she put that in her email (but she didn't). Said it was late and she was tired and really should be in bed.

All I know is it was her mistake. I paid for my win on time and all like I was supposed to and then she emails me when she is ready to ship. I felt like she needed to know right then what I was wanting to pick.

Hmmm, she could have worded it clearer. I see why you are confused. She does not actually offer you them as equal replacement, just says she has them. ( they all have a patterned eye kinda like the one you won). Do whatever you feel is best for you.

Lisa, I already have scapes on most of the daylilies I bought from you! Can't even tell that most of them have spent some time in a box, traveling across the country! I'm so happy!

Archaeoptyrx should do well for you. It grows fairly well in my climate here in the north.

You're in an awkward position. I have purchased from Bonfire before and she was wonderful and generous. Given my experience with her, I'm fairly certain there was no intent to deceive but under the circumstances, maybe she could make allowances for her error and your disappointment. I hope things work out for both of you.
