Beautiful, Arlene! You really have quite a few opening now, and they're all really wonderful! I particularly zeroed in on your patterned MAGNIFICENT HUMMINGBIRD and DRAGONFLY DAWN -- they look fantastic! And your seedling looks wonderful too! I'm only getting one bloom every few days, but at least it's started!

Betty, my blooms started to multiply last week, but even yesterday there were only 6 blooms. This morning, however, there were 18 blooms! Hurray! This spring has been long and quite cool--this a.m. was warmer and the next 5 days look to be in the low 80's. Blooms will explode!

Thanks for the nice words about my seedling. It is 37" tall, 5-6 way with a bud count of 30-35. Just a good all around plant.

Arlene, I think you should post those pictures to our database, especially your DRAGONFLY DAWN and MAGNIFICENT HUMMINGBIRD. And I believe you'll get a 1/2 acorn for each one too. All you do is click on the picture where it says something like "import to database" and follow the directions. I think those are wonderful pictures!

This second bloom looks much more like the UNFOLDING DREAMS that I'm used to. I couldn't believe the bright yellow edges on that first bloom, but this one has less yellow and more cream with a hint of green. Unfortunately I removed the pollen without thinking before snapping the photo...

Oh so glad to see the season begin.

Betty, I have Long Stocking too! Even though spiders are not in my list of very favorites, the height of LS matches the size of the bloom and that is why I love it so much.

I love that Hall seedling too!

James' seedling is a beauty! I'm glad to see others getting blooms, too. This morning a second seedling bloomed ... took a pic but haven't downloaded it yet. Waiting for guests to arrive for a 5 day visit. At least I deadheaded this morning.

It rained last night (thank heavens!) and never got over the mid-60's today, and it took forever for these blooms to open enough to even take pictures. But we're supposed to be back up to the low 90's by Wednesday.

TUMBLED GLASS - Thanks Michele!

IRISH CROWN - I think this one will look better when it warms up more
