Our little ranch got 3" last night, and here in town we got 2.5". In another week or so the cows will have green grass to eat! Wonderful rain without much lightning and just a little bit of tiny hail.

So glad most everyone got rain without too much hail or wind damage. It's actually chilly tonight. I'm going to appreciate this cool weather and try to remember it in another month when it's hot and humid.

It's been raining again. I think we might have gotten another inch tonight! Chasing the drought away! Hurray!

I hate to brag, but we had to turn the AC off and flipped to the heater this morning!

It rained again last night, and all my pots need to be tipped. The rain and cooler temps have made me positively giddy! Going out to check on Caladiums.

We got more rain last night also. All my containers are over full with rain water Smiling :) Smiling David opened the windows this morning and turned A/C off. I know alot of people wouldn't do that but I love being cooler than most people do.

I am giddy too as I love to work outside and this is the weather for it Smiling I wear wife beaters outside and was actually needing to put on a t-shirt as I was chilly. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

It is a flannel shirt morning in Central Texas. Now that the wind has kicked in, a light jacket feels good. Incredible for the middle of May!

Flash flood warnings for our area today. Over 3 inches have fallen since this started yesterday and another storm seems headed this way! Hurray!

Linda, it's either feast or famine when it comes to May showers! We were caught at Home Depot this morning. There was a huge lightning strike and all the lights and computers went out. The emergency lights came on and everyone went back to shopping!

We are getting rain slow and steady, less than 1/2" so far with more to come over the next 3 days. I watered well yesterday so the rain should go in nice and deep and not run off. Nearby areas have tornado warnings. I hope that stays away from us!

Me too! We're supposed to get more rain and high winds tonight with possible hail. Rain is forecast each day for the week. I can live with that!
Grandson's new bike was stolen from school Friday. They left his helmet. No one could figure out how it happened in front of school. This afternoon, one of their neighbors and his kids were walking along the creek behind the school and found the bike in the creek covered in mud. Whoever stole it, left it hidden in the dry creek bed until they could come back to get it after dark, but didn't check the weather report. It has rained really hard here for two days. The dry creek filled up. The bike was buried in the mud, but one of the kids recognized a sticker on the handle bar. He said, "Dad, that's Tyler's bike." I love stupid criminals almost as much as I love the rain!

Good news on the grandson's bike. I hate thieves! Looks like the storm center is right over you, Sandi. We have a break and it will come at us around 5 am. I am thinking maybe I didn't need to water at all yesterday???

Weather guy said to expect to be awakened by some loud thunder during the night. We got a little over two inches in the rain gauge today. The stray cat decided to have five kittens in my gardening cabinet on the patio last night! Brazen hussy..... Whistling

We ended up with 3 inches. I moved the Drs out of the rain just in time. It would have ruined one that is in full bloom right now.
