Cool! I had to bring in a rescue plant and then spread it from seeds. BTW, this can occasionally be a host plant for some butterflies, in case you don't know. I haven't seen anything on it yet this year.

I've read that the little Gray Hairstreaks like mallows. So I'm thrilled to have this Velvet Leaf (which is quite large now). Also I have planted two types of annual mallow (Lavatera trimestris) seeds that I got from Robin Seeds. I love the little hairstreaks!
They're one of my favorites to photograph; in my Named BF/moth folder (where the best pics end up) I think they are the most numerous. (This one won a 1st in a contest once upon a time)

Sometimes these Gaillardia suavis (Pincushion Daisy) pop up in the front pasture. They smell heavenly! While the flower itself isn't terribly impressive, the seed head is amazing.
