Oh, I have saved seeds of the pink and they did just fine. I haven't tried any others.

So far I haven't been able to detect any seeds. I'll need to wait a little longer until I find a really dried up bloom that has not been deadheaded.

If you find a sticky mess blob on the end of a stem, that's the seed pod.

The pod should start to split, then they are ripe.

Teri, your Lisianthus are wonderful. I've never done well with them, but they sure are pretty.

Lisianthus would be a favorite of mine if I could get them to germinate better. I have tried them 3 times, and never gotten more than a very few to make it all the way through to blooms. They are such elegant flowers!

Most of mine always germinate. I start them in December and keep them inside under lights until they are quite tall. I only put 2 seeds in each of the plastic 10 oz cups that I use. I do not put them directly into the ground. They remain in pots. I can take most of them indoors and/or give them away when it get too cold outside. They come back the next year and do bloom a little in the house.
