Lin Thanks!
They have gotten where they are waiting in the morning for the seed. There's one male cardinal that fly's back and forth calling (I think he gets to excited and can't decide where to perch).
If I have not filled it up soon enough for him in the morning he calls until I come out. The mourning doves and sparrows wait on the power lines above. That's why I call them "The Gang"
The male woodpecker and humming bird are from yesterdays pictures the others are from today. The woodpeckers are regulars to the suet but the mafia (not pictured earlier, starlings) usually mob them off of it
I try not to discriminate against any bird no matter their color but some can really be a nuisance! I am really trying to get them used to me so I can get some good pics.
Their are what I believe is a pair of Blue Jays that are still pretty skittish. They usually fly over and give that loud call when "The Gang" is on the ground like in the pic, those birds are All gone in a flash!
I really think the Jays do it on purpose,
. They have been flying by and snagging peanuts and just starting to stop at the feeder. In the last few days I have seen two new (well new to me anyway) birds stopping by. I believe one is a Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher. Not sure on the other. Snapped a couple of the gnatcatcher but they move fast and the pics were blurry. Saw a humming bird chasing one, not sure what that was about.
Anyway the camera is a Fuji S4800. Nothing super fancy but not a bad camera at all for what it cost. I picked red (choice of red or black) and the hummers seem to like it.
