Tim, thanks for the info! Being that this thread is 8 years old, I figured I'd be doing some hunting, but it's a great starting point with Rita's lists and photos posted by Rita and others. This thread is way better than what I had, which was basically nothing ......like a gold mine for me!

I got on Olallie's site, that Rita mentioned in her beginning post, and found a great deal La & VLa DL's that I like there.

I'll be getting on these other sites, mentioned in this thread, as well.

Right now, I'm researching Rita's lists and writing down DL's that I like of hers and from other people's posts, as well.

I'm hoping that rekindling this thread will help newbies and bring some additional updated information and I'll update on my progress too.

Here's your reward another one for the list. One of the prettier VL's you'll find. Unfortunately my photo is a little sunwashed so you can't really appreciate the lavender color, which is why I haven't added it to the database. I'll fix that next August.

Ooooo!! That's a gorgeous non-Fall color!! It's added to my list!! Where did you find it, Tim?

I'm going to collect late bloomers that are anything but regular Fall colors, especially the dull rusts and such. Sounds weird, but it's to offset the Fall colors that are already going on, and it's also bc Fall is depressing for me (called SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder) I might have a few, but not as the majority of my late bloomer collection.

Scapehunter on the LA. When I mentioned I was looking for Dale's cultivars, he told me he was collecting them, too, and had talked with Dale. Anyway, he was kind enough to give me a list of ones he had available, and I bought at least four that were Late or VL, and a dark one that was ML.

They were new to my garden last Spring, so I haven't even seen some of them, yet, but the ones I saw started blooming in August, which is a good sign for me. Reaching September is like the Holy Grail for VL's for my location. I'm really psyched that I've added them to my garden. So many VL's are Dips, but Dale's are Tets. I'm already dreaming of crossing Time to Ponder with Davi's Yada Yada Yella to see if I can get a worthy VL out of that.

Reaching September isn't in the NGA or AHS database. Is it unregistered?

Edited: I checked out scapehunter and he only has one listing. It's his first intro, though, and it's yellow. It doesn't say what the bloom time is, but I'm not real interested in yellows, although it is a gorgeous bloom.

Dana I believe Tim was just talking about the month of September. Not a plant by that name. I have some Genesta seeds to start. It should be interesting to see when these seedlings bloom. The last two to start here in Z:5 is After Awhile Crocodile and Genesta.

Obviously I'm in somewhat a state of desperation to find late blooming daylilies!
