mmm. Just checked the Dancing Oaks Web Site. They only have two (count them!) semps! Well, maybe everyone will be so overloaded with semp info that a break will be needed?

By the way, count your blessings again. I just checked and the high temp. today was 39... And it has stopped trying to snow!

Companion plants MR! That's what everything BESIDES a semp is! It would be a boring garden if we ONLY had semps and I LOVE semps. Dancing Oaks has a very unique collection of the newest and best in perennials and woody plants. Best yet we know they'll grow for us!

Julia, if you want to start on Thursday I can give you QUITE a list of must sees here.

Love to have the list Kevin, then we can all Google and make our wish list. Seems like the list from last year was up north by the Master gardeners sale. I know you guys have great nurseries in your area so might as well stay close. We are going to see Cynda right? Hurray! The darn weekend is too short or the journey is too long! Big Grin

My wish is to have Wild Ginger Farm move to just outside Salem. The south side of Salem would be perfect (or west side of course). Big Grin

Yes, a list of possible places to hit, please! Maybe we as individuals can make the stops if others can't on an off day...
like Julia and Greg making that Sedum place before getting to the clinic? Any nurseries south of you guys would work for us coming up north...I hit Youngs last year and they were preparing to transition to their new location a few months later so I was there for their "Got-to-Get-Rid-of-this-STUFF" SALE before we made it to Salem...

Besides Dancing Oaks, I would add Sebright Gardens in Brooks for shade plants and iris. The landscaping is gorgeous too. Definitely worth a look.

Later in the season I would add Adelman's peonies and Schreiner's Iris Garden, but our dates are really too early this year. Another year I will try to have the clinic when the thousands of irises are blooming in the yard but this coming year I have multiple buses coming to my yard to see the irises. I might not even know my name at that point, let alone teach semp judging!

That is another fun place to go.
Ferguson's Fragrant Nursery is another fun one. Their gardens are nice.

Let's see, you're not referring to Young's so you must be asking about this place Greg mentioned that you guys might be stopping at (I thought before the clinic), but maybe you guys are going sooner. I think Greg mentioned some Sedum guy in Olympia? Shrug!

Bev, the possibilities already have my head spinning, but since you are driving north my place is about 10 miles from Garlands and you could visit on Thursday if you want. Albany is just off I-5. There is even a good restaurant here! (Frankie's). Assuming (and fingers crossed) I am here, that is.
