CDsSister said:Sitting on the porch provides a wonderful chance to talk one on one with some of the group as they come and go into the house. Everyone stops for a minute or two to chat .. Which makes the porch sitter feel very much a part of the festivities.

Or even take a chair and sit in the middle of the beds and enjoy a different view...... Not a bad way to check out the beds. Better than not being there at all. Whistling Hilarious!

You're absolutely right, Marilyn and if I remember correctly, at the last clinic, you did both in addition to also meandering around the beds; I can prove it:

Boy, you guys have been CHATTY tonight while I was playing in the symphony. My ears should have been burning!

I do have two spare bedrooms and a couch that makes into a bed but slumber parties aren't my thing!

Bev, am already working on the work sheet for the clinic! There are lots of opportunities for study as there are so many interesting seedling groups to evaluate plus ~150 selected seedlings from the last two years that might get named. The mind boggles with the sorts of questions/problems that can be assigned. Actually I find this is the ONLY way to really learn this process is by doing it yourself. Otherwise it is really just WORDS.

The sandy loam is about 4 minutes from my house. I was there today picking up more chicken grit.

Kevin, you would never even know we were there, if you put ear plugs in, and those black eye cover things. Green Grin!
