Yes it does look like the wavy skirts they would wear square dancing. Also like the ones Loretta Young used to wear when she came onto the stage and would twirl to show it off, Boy I'm aging myself now!

I'm not one for hugely ruffled forms, at least not in photographs (should have an opportunity this coming Spring to see ruffles up close and in person ). The color on that seedling is gorgeous and reminds me of the coloration on this seedling of Kent's, which is darker, but has just enough ruffles for me. I fell for it hard and I'd give a lot to grow it. Hoping he chooses to have it introduced.

Tom, I was trying to figure out who I was recalling, so I googled "purple haired televangelist", and sure enough, lots of results! Jan Crouch is her name, and it appears she got into some kind of trouble or scandal too, similar to the Bakers. You got it- the square dancer dresses with all the ruffles and frills! Good grief, if I'm having these weird associations this early into winter, I'll be a blabbing idiot by January, LOL.

Anything would be prettier than any of you men in a tutu. That said, and being of Scottish extraction, I love a man in a kilt!

We had three men in kilts at the radio station on Sunday. When someone asked if they had anything underneath.. They said, "if you're wearing underwear, it's a skirt". I'm thinking the ladies there were hoping for a nice gust of wind.

If it is an outdoor event with little children present the men will wear boxers. If there are no children present the 'sporran' holds the front of the kilt down and that is all that matters to a scotsman.

Now - back to Paul Black. Does anyone grow Berry Scary? I have been intrigued by it's coloring, but wonder 1) does it grow well, and 2) does the grey/buff rim on the falls really stand out like it does in the vendor pics? True to color?
