Daphne from Royal Colors. This is a show stopper at 9" (23 cm) across, a beautiful black cherry color, with ruffles, speckles, and a picoete edge. What's not to love about this one. This is my favorite new bulb this season (so far). I will be interested to see how this does outside in my garden. Unfortunately, a lot of these real 'flashy' cultivars don't adapt to the harsher outdoor conditions.

Rosy Star from Royal Colors. This is a very pretty white one with pink accents, with a lot of variation in the amount of pink between blooms. The white sparkles in sunlight.

Terracotta Star from Royal Color. A pretty salmon colored one with a pale green star in the middle. The color lightens as the bloom ages. I really like this color and the green star is quite impressive.

Rebecca from Royal Colors. This is a small flowered, pink with pale green center, 'trumpet' cultivar. I included a photo from the top to illustrate the trumpet shape of the blooms. The scapes each have 5 blooms.

Barbara, you have got very wonderful bloom show from RC bulbs. I like the Daphne the best! Just wonder what's that mean when you say "This is a show stopper at 9" (23 cm) across"? Do you mean the (single) flower is 9" big, or two across is 9" wide? Thanks

Each bloom is 9" across its face, measured from tip to tip of opposite petals.

Hello everyone, I'm back after an unaccountable absence from ATP. I love Amaryllis but sadly since I moved into a tiny bungalow 2 years ago I don't have room for any. (I did buy Apple Blossom at the supermarket the other day for some winter cheer.) I'm having fun going through my photos remembering the varieties I've grown, and am always interested to see what others are growing on here.

Best wishes
Sue

Sue: I've missed your posts, so glad your back on ATP. You know there's always room for an Amaryllis on your windowsill.

Hi Sue, glad you back, at least you can enjoy the photos here if you don't have the space for them in your smaller home. Smiling
