Our Garden Planting Calendar has been going crazy on facebook. Baker Creek posted a link to it and then almost 2,000 other people shared it to their own facebook timelines. We had nearly 20,000 people visit the calendar 2 days ago. Many of these people signed up. We had nearly 700 signups two days ago. The traffic continues in, albeit at a slower pace now. It's great to see so many new people find ATP!

As a new member of a few days ago, I must say i was very warmly welcomed and overwhelmed by the generosity of the members (including admin). This welcome inspired me to want to give back and to participate. There was a sign on my posts indicating NEW MEMBER that generated many "welcomes", acorns, and thumbs. So i really started to participate before i properly knew how Rolling my eyes. . There is a forum for new members to ask questions. I never felt ATP could do more, but i did feel that they could do a lot less and i would have still felt welcomed...not to discourage your efforts, i'm just saying, this was my experience Thumbs up

Welcome to ATP Beverly! I did not "see" you before so did not welcome you earlier. I see the beautiful butterfly in your avatar. We have a butterfly thread you might be interested in. Here is the link:

I'm sure we would all love to see the butterflies in your part of the world. We have some Australians on there & some Argentinians so it's beginning to get very international. Hurray! Come join us please. nodding

Beverly, welcome to ATP and I'm glad you started to participate "before you properly knew how." For the most part, at least, we really do not stand on formalities here... it's all about sharing our ideas and experience! Big Grin Welcome!

I really enjoy posts and photos from other countries! I love to see what others are growing outside of the USA! I do hope you find the time to share some photos, Beverly! Welcome to ATP! Welcome!

Thank You! all for your kind words but i think we may have gone astray a bit. This thread is not about me, but about how ATP can best welcome its new members, etc (see greenes original opening post at the top of page 1). Got any ideas? This is a long thread with lots of participation and it is so easy to get lost Smiling

Think nothing of it Beverly, we do this all the time. Then we wake up in the sandbox Hilarious!

Moderators can move off topic posts, or entire threads, or parts of threads, to the sandbox. It's where we play, like kids. You can also post there about non-garden subjects, general chatter...
