I woke up to 34 degrees this morning too. Thumbs down We're supposed to get to 64 today, and 74 tomorrow, and then 81 the next day! Hurray! Then it cools down again, but no rain in the forecast for the next few days. Didn't have any rain in the forecast last night, either, but we got pounded by rain!

They are calling for a high of 89F, which means it will be over 90F at the house. There are some Santa Ana winds that are supposed to die down this afternoon but they don't bother me. It is already 70F, which is hot for this time of the morning (7:45AM).

More rain. Supposed to have it today, tonight and tomorrow. The only good thing I can say is I won't have to drag the hose around to water the hostas I planted the other day. @gingin Every cloud has a silver lining!

69 right now and sunny. Every things looks nice and clean from the rain Saturday night. Big Grin

We climbed on the roof this morning to do some prep work on our Evaporative cooler for when the heat hits. We were serenaded by the humming of lots and lots of bees that were working in the Mesquite tree pollen things that hang on that tree. Since all bees are considered Africanized here now the phone was near by lest we end up on the evening news. Crying We survived and they were respectful to us. Whistling

Bees and I get a long pretty well, Natalie. However, they do seem to annoy DH. Probably because he swats at them which is a big no-no if they are African bees. Whistling

I am leery of bees since I was attacked by them after raking and uncovering their "home" when we first moved here. I fight the urge to swat at them but I know if I do, it will make things worse. That was one scary afternoon and evening for us.
Our weather today looks dismal -- more rain when I need to get out and do some things before we take off on Friday, plus we stopped on our way from dinner last night and picked up more plants. The weather says 100% today and it's raining now, but they said it would rain all day yesterday and it cleared up about noon and both of us got outside. DH pruned a camellia that was in real need of it and I fertilized the azaleas which have just finished blooming.

The whole state got quite a bit!
I think some of my Iris bud stalks are laying on the ground, I hope they're not broke. Crying

They are calling for a high of 92F. I got my plant work done this morning under reasonable temperatures.

This may or may not be of interest. It is a video of my yard but it shows no daylilies. https://youtu.be/XDTD0Kjg9tw
