Fiat, here are the pictures. This is the gasteria. I've never had a gasteria before so I don't know what to expect size-wise, but the larger ones are probably 6 inches wide.

The aloe pictures might not do you much good since it is so overgrown with @#$% vinca. The plant is probably 18 inches tall without the flower stalk.

I'm so happy to see this little guy returning....I don't know what to expect here...right across from this guy, a cerinthe seems to have rotted with our Winter rains, but here this guy is, popping right back up again. I'm really glad to see it since I did get seed from it this last year, but have misplaced them...yeah, how does that happen?

Oh love that photo Kelli! Your Gasteria is like my Gasteraloe 'Green Ice', whose tag initially says Gasteria marble, so that's how big it can go!

This is mine, still a little one, has just finished blooming after blooming from Feb to whole of March:

My aloe gasteria hybrid on the other hand continues with its bloom, on its last phase now:

Many thanks, Kelli. Your Gasteria is of a fair size for blooming. Guess mine needs to catch up a bit. If your aloe vera is just 18" tall and blooming, I wonder when mine is to start blooming as they all are at least 18" tall now in containers (one of the three is definitely 20+" tall)? Could be the container thing? By the way, you have those wonderfully colored blooms (blue-white, yellow-red-white, and pink-violet) and I am so much tempted!

Tarev, I think your gasteria hybrid looks way cool! (both plant and bloom) How big the pot is? 8", 10", 12"?

Fiat, everyone here has Aloe Vera, and they have all just finished blooming. All are in 12" pots, at least. Most are in 24" pots. Yours may just be too young to bloom yet. Keep in mind that these are desert plants, hence winter water, summer mostly dry, and always fast draining soil. Like all xeric plants , the need space to be happy.

Thanks, Carol. The three Vera (all 20+" tall) came tightly together in a 20" pot. I plan to separate them with the tallest one stay in the same pot and other two into two new smaller pots. So to give them some space/happiness Green Grin!

Thanks, Tarev. That's a nice great-size pot of gasteria hybrid!

Tarev, your "peanut" cactus is a bit ahead of mine. I love that little guy! The one on my front porch step (nw side of the house) has buds, but is hanging over the edge of the pot, and I knocked off some with the hose. The one on the south side is showing no sign of buds yet. Go figure! My Epis are really confused this year. Early, poor blooms. Now some are just ramping up, but this hot/cold/hot weather with the wind makes it nearly impossible to get pictures. Congratulations on yours! I don't do Adeniums because I can't protect them from rain... Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Thanks Carol Big Grin Uh-oh..sorry to hear you have knocked off your peanut cacti buds, hope it makes some more. I notice these buds, they form more now when temps are warm and I give the plant a bit more water, my containers are quite small, so easy enough to dry out the whole day. I love watching them do their close-open show for about a week..very light needy blooms Hilarious!

I am not sure if any of my Epis will ever bloom nicely..just been a tease..oh well.. Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes.

My Adenium loves being moist when it is getting too warm and dry..very thirsty, so if and when liquid gold comes..it is so welcome!

My irises are smaller and fewer this year. I blame the drought. The irises are on the lawn sprinkler system and we have watering restrictions for lawns.

Cactus of all kinds do well for me. Well, maybe not all kinds, since I have lost some, but most kinds.
