No, and the males don't stick around either, How is the motor on the gator? You need a dog - a terrier, to do the rat catching...a snake would eat one and be worthless while it digested. Pits are good ratters.

I haven't started the motor on it today but it did just find when I drove it around yesterday. Drove it a good distance last Sunday to.
Thanks for the suggestion but I do not want a dog. I have enough stress and problems without adding a pet to it.

Currently partly overcast today and is already 61. I need to be outside today throwing away excess plants and raking and pulling away limbs.
Internet on my phone has been very bad since the storm this week; it just keeps dying and mothers husband has been staying home in bed the past several days with severe gastritis. I went in 2 dollar stores with coughing, hacking customers yesterday trying to find Jello and soup. Both mother and I are in very bad moods.
AT&T must be down somewhere.

Well, yeah, the pet rats can. Very stinky pets both snakes and rats- experience here. Getting warm today, boys dried off their building project and started in on insulation and decking since the approval came in

Spent my afternoon shoveling, digging, hauling pine branches and planting 4 more tomato plants. Afterwards used gator to haul off garbage and take a leisurely drive in it. Drive was ok going out but on way back passed big truck plus a gang of crummy, noisy joy riders. Cant have peace and privacy out in the country anymore. Angry
Anyway, no sound of baby rats squeaking I'm hoping the beautiful king snake I came across while hauling limbs ate them for breakfast.

If I slept like that my neck would never forgive me. Hilarious!

Two years old and already has his own smartphone? (Or already knows how to work one?) Good grief. Children probably learn how to get on the internet before they learn to walk these days.

Yesterday was like summer; blackberries are putting on and have picked over them twice but frost we had hurt a great deal of the blooms so now most of the fruit are runts/stunted.

Somethings still wrong with the internet. It's usually great in the morning but it keeps cutting out and dying every so often. Idk what AT&T has messed with but I'm not happy. It's a miracle I get a connection anyway, I don't need them messing with their tower and making my flimsy internet worse.

AT&T I suspect is in a war with another company to get more customers, they WILL cut your internet to super slow thinking you won't notice it even tho you are paying the same. Have done it to us multiple times. They also want you to stream and that really is a bigger pain. No loyalty in phone companies, no trust.
Fighting these all over the yard, but they like the spearmint best…I hate moths.

What do all those fuzzies grow up to be? Are they all future moths?

I don't stream, no satellite, no Wi-Fi hookup, the only device that runs off internet in this house is laptops off our phones hotspot and the phones connection comes from local tower. Can't afford any kind of service. Wouldn't work in the sticks anyway.

Those are cute fuzzies but I wouldn't want em in my garden either. Why the hatred for moths? Moths aren't a bother unless they're in your house and eating your clothes. Birds will get rid of your moths. Many years ago as a child I kept webworms until they turned into moths, once as I was releasing a moth a bird caught it and I cried.

Overcast today, good time to be outside working when the suns not blaring on you. My mother is weedeating a little while I am inside cooking and doing laundry for her puny, crummy husband that's been home for almost a week either sitting hunched over in his chair or laying in bed while we wait on him.

I am off and tired. 2 ponds this weekend. Had to service an aquarium today and get my blood draw out of the way for the week. Need to mow before the rain. Chiggers in the garden and on the lot needs some nematodes applied if it does rain.

Those are saltmarsh caterpillars, and they are stripping the mint. There is another one also named a garden tiger moth caterpillar, what you didn't see is the smilax skeletonizers, and the army worms, and what I named a webworm is a tent caterpillar, have no clue what the neon green caterpillar was, and every single one is a moth., but only some of what has all shown up at the same time trying to strip everything in the trees, garden, porch...and they will be coming north. Birds cannot even make a dent in the massive numbers, but most of my birds won't touch them. I cut the mint to the ground and killed another dozen of them, but the mint will regrow, and I need to restuff that bed anyway.

Got a good bit accomplished today. Dishes, raking, picking up groceries, running errands, dumping out a mouse...

Internet is still bad for some reason. The problem isn't the booster box; there's something the local tower isn't picking up or its faulty. Shrug!

Overcast practically all day. Humid and it misted while I was out raking.

Sorry to sat the baby rats in the gator died and are smelling terrible. 🤢They're in tight quarters somewhere, can't find em.

Mowing and mowing and mowing before more rain. i think new bees will be delivered sunday, a friend doing a cutout can't keep at his house so bringing to me. Home prices are fluctuating so much I am afraid I can't sell high enough to pay this one off and pay cash for a home in Arkansas. Yes Arkansas. Closer to my kids, business if needed, and #1 state to retire in based on a financial magazine, property in some areas low enough I can maybe find something. If I move I have to find a home for the bees....

I've been picking mine twice a day for nearly a week now. Blinking My patch is very generous this year, must be making up for last year. I've got 2 7/8ths quart bags in the freezer so far and my patch doesn't even look half finished.

Overcast most of the day. Humid. Heard some thunder but no rain. I think it misted a dab. Thunderstorms expected early Saturday and to last hours and hours.
