You're right about that. Thumbs up It's been in the low to mid 90s the past week.

Cameron ...

We hit the triple digits yesterday .... Grumbling I keep saying I can only complain about the heat or the cold, but not both. I may change my mind about that this year.

Our day temps will be in the 90s and low 100s for the next few months. It will be a blessed day when it drops to the 80s.

Do you know what the heat zone is for your garden ? Also, is your part of Texas humid or arid ?

I won't be planting any clematis until next spring because I worry about bringing young plants through the heat. I think, from what I have read, you have been given good advice for your plant, but just am not ready to chance it this summer for a new plant of something I've never grown.

Good luck to you.

Lyn

I can't stand the heat lol. If it could stay in the mid to upper 70s all year that would be perfect.

Lyn your climate sounds similar to mine. We probably get more rainfall here but Summers can be rain free and in the 100s for weeks.

Yeah ... the wet Mediterranean climate ... oh, joy.

A dry year up here is 25 inches, but we can get twice that much in a wet year. All in about four months.

I've heard we may get some rain this summer because of El Nino, but I'll believe that when I see it.

Smiles,
Lyn

I think our normal rainfall is 32-35" a year. This year we had an unusually wet Spring, and Summer is supposed to be more mild with the El Nino, but like you said I'll believe it when I see it. Hilarious!
