Yeah, the reddish , purple "speckles", or whatever one wants to call them, are found on only a few of the "old yellows". Seems to be more noticeable when it's cool, and seem to disappear when it warms up. W.R. Dykes is another that's 'famous" for them, but it's bloom is more "blocky", and the falls don't look quite as much like the ears on a hound dog
. In this area, Coronation must have been VERY popular, and passed around a lot, because almost every place with iris seems to have a few.
