Thanks Christine ... I rarely see pairs unless they are nesting ... usually when two are in the same general area, one is trying to chase the other away. Territorial I guess.

I was taking Tori to a friends House on the other side of the lake earlier today. All of a sudden she is like "wow, look at that cool big bird! Wonder what it is?" Told her Great Blue Heron and they are very cool birds!

GoatDriver, Yes indeed, please feel free to share your bird photos. Wow, really gorgeous shots! I particularly love the Jays and the Carolina Wren, but they are all beautiful, they look like paintings!

I think they're all fantastic but for some reason the goldfinch tugs my heartstrings.

We have had a robin nest again in one of our trees. Today was fledgling day and I surprised this little in the yard. He hopped out by the road which really set daddy robin off. But we got him safely back in the yard. Just glad he was outside the fence so Gus could not get him.
This is a juvie robin that came from a nest located in our neighbors tree right next to our backyard fence. Looks to still have some baby fluff yet. But at least it could fly!
