csandt,
How does 'Green Flutter' perform in the garden? Does it multiply fast, does it have lots of blooms, are the blooms held up above the foliage, and very important...how does the foliage look late in the summer? I love that it has a 1.0 rust rating, and is a late bloomer, those are a little hard to come by.

What beauties...most of my daylilies are older cultivars. Probably nothing released since the 90's, but there are bunches of them and they seem happy. Smiling

Sabrina, I got three fans from ebay last fall and they all bloomed this spring. I was surprised at how pretty they actually are. Mine are not mauve, but more of a peachy color, which I love. They are in a bed under a pine tree and does not get as much sun as I would like, but they performed well for a first time bloomer. I planned to move them but I'll let them stay for mow since they did well.

I apologize for the late response to your questions. Somehow I missed seeing your posting until this week. (I am still figuring out how ATP works.)

Here is how the foliage looked on August 22; I think it is about my cleanest daylily foliage:

It performs very well near the front of my gardens. It multiplies fairly fast; yes, the blooms are held above the foliage. It is a mainstay in my gardens. Here it is on July 19:

I captured a lot of nice pictures this year, but a few of my favorites were of my Titan of Ice showing off. It was pretty spectacular how the petals stayed attached, I have no idea how that happened. As I recall, it stayed this way almost the entire day.

This is the first full year i have had Dark Side and i believe it has added another fan and i got 4 scapes out of 4 fans and the blooms always open well. Not much branching going on and other than some cow manure when i planted it i did not fertilize so starting this fall when i do fertilize it may do better.
I think if rate of growth continues in 3 years i may have to divide. I have it in full sun against a picket fence. Sometimes the bloom was a dark purple and other times even darker like in the photo i posted.
It is definitely the darkest daylily i grow. On the flip side i also grow Ice Carnaval, all white. You might like another of theirs i know they have their own website.
After looking at the photo again i guess i does look just dark violet. Wish i could remember what time of the day i took that. I work a 40 hour week so unless it a weekend bloom i only see later afternoon blooms or early morning ones and then most are still trying to open up.

Daylily 'Lullaby Baby' , my favorite near-white so far. Has a hint of pink which is very pretty. I think this is my favorite photo from this year as it captured the glow of the flowers so well.
