Daylily 'Mexican Maiden'. This was planted about 1.5 months before this photo. Hoping for even better next year! Sorry about the brown foliage. It's looking much better now after a few months in the dirt!

Daylily 'Crimson Pirate' (Sass-H.E., 1951), a spider that's an oldie but still so striking! IMO it's almost the perfect spider with very pleasing form. At the bottom right is 'Little Grapette'/

(Update: 12 May 2016)

'Crimson Pirate' has to be one of the most prolific daylilies I own. I ran across this photo and was surprised how small the clump looks. This year it's at least twice the size. In fact, either this year or at most next they will have to be divided to avoid crowing out nearby daylilies and to give better airflow. The space between CP and the rosemary...that's now completely filled with CP. Also, it's overtaken 'Little Grapette'. Wish I had these planted along a walkway as they'd be quite a display. It's not time for flowers yet but I'm hoping the number of scapes will be as prolific as the production of new fans!

Daylily 'Pink Puff'. A small flower but such a beautiful pink. I only have one small clump but am looking for more! Great for the front of the border as it's a fairly small plant with about an 18-inch scape.

Hemerocallis 'Shishedo'. A great performer in my garden; beautiful pink, produces well branched scapes with good bud counts. Producing new fans at a good rate. Beutiful planted next to my 'Lullaby Baby'. Green Grin!

Aztec Beauty (front and center of picture) put on a nice show for me this year after having divided it last summer. Almost every bloom was picture perfect.

Also in this picture from left: Peach Magnolia, Forever in Time, Red Volunteer, and Little Grapette.

Beautiful blooms folks. A little more rain and a touch cooler weather would be welcome here.

This is another NOID from my MIL. I love the way the color flows.

A friend gave me Aztec Beauty a few years ago and it is one of my favorites! It didn't bloom this year, the weeping crabapple had grown and shaded the area it was in way to much. Spent the past 3 days taking out, moving/adding/replanting the daylilies in that bed and trimmed the crabapple back to where it is suppose to be.
