I could not pick a favorite among everyone's photos! I want them all! (Though the dormants might not do too well here in FL.) The flower show here on the Daylily Forum is the best I've seen anywhere online!!! Y'all take some amazing photos!!!

I love visiting gardens in person thru the summer. There is nothing like seeing how a flower will do in the garden that is located in your region. Sometime the camera just cannot capture the true color or beauty of a plant.

Some day I hope to actually go up to Northern Florida during their garden display week. Can't do it anytime soon though. Work, finances, and an old car prohibit me currently from doing such a fun dream trip. One day....

I am astonished at the beauties seen here, the clarity, details, colors and shot angles. Although I remain an amateur "snapper", I sure can appreciate quality.
So many of my daylilies are unknowns, yet they afford me many days of gorgeous color, and untold photo-ops. One of my favorite shots this year is a cultivar unknown to me, but the shot captured my heart because it shows 3 stages in the life of a flower-I titled this:
"Yesterday, today, and tomorrow".....hope you enjoy one of my "best" shots.

MissyPenny, I have an unknown that was given to me about 10 years ago, and it is still a favorite in my garden. It was probably a seedling hybridized by the couple that used to have a daylily farm nearby. They sold the farm and moved to town a few years ago and I miss having a daylily farm so close. It was always a treat to go and buy daylilies that I could see in person.

I just love the color of this one and the darker shade of the edge. Although the edge doesn't stand out a whole lot, I still love it.

Vickie - That is beautiful and the clump photo is to die for! I really, really like the color of that one. I can see why it is a keeper in your garden.

I can honestly say that I rarely meet a daylily that I don't like!

More about this beauty. It was a rebirth of sorts as it was believed to be lost. The tubers were rediscovered after planting some Aztec grasses in a bed. After some TLC and potting it up, here it is again! btw, this is the most scented of any I have ever enjoyed...

I have been playing with the camera again and took some photos of Eden after the fall (Thistles and thorns) and Ed Murray seedlings---forgive me! Nothings working!
