Everything you say is true, but IMO, none of it justifies giving the same plant two names. I'm gonna hold out for one name for a plant. I just can't see why the correct registered name can't be used for marketing purposes. It just seems deceptive. I wouldn't like to spend money for a plant being sold under a different name only to find that it was a plant I was already growing or had grown.

The rebloom on WPW finished blooming 10 days ago. It was interesting to to see as I have never had rebloom on WPW before. What happened was I had a huge scape come up out of the middle of this large fan, thus splitting the fan into two smaller fans. The two smaller fans then sent up scapes. The smaller fans' scapes had 8 and 10 buds respectively.

I have had WPW at least 3 yrs. I haven't seen it bloom in Aug. Good for you. I do love that plant!

No signs of any late re-bloom on known re bloomers here in 6a Ohio in my garden. Great weather and growing conditions all the same. It's not over yet though, it's early to write off the possibility. I don't anticipate much but something's bound to add surprise. It's not even September.

The only rebloomer for me this season was a few Stella de Oro.

Found a rebloom scape on Mask of Eternity today

Found a rebloom scape on Pastel Classic. This one has rebloomed for me in the past.

My only rebloom is MABEL Y SHEPHERD but I only have about 50 that have been in the ground more than a year.

Here is MABEL Y SHEPHERD, in my mind (see this is where we get in trouble) an under appreciated daylily.

Thanks Becky. I am sure it was the rain because we had a cooler summer until now. September so far has been unseasonable hot.

Via Dolorsa re-bloomed after being divided 8/1/15 with 2 blossoms. Last bloom was yesterday. We've had a rare long frost free growing season with temps in the 80s for the last few weeks.

Today I found another scape on Lady Neva. I am assuming it is a rebloom scape although in the 13 years that I have had it, it has never rebloomed before.

Oooh! So glad to hear that your Lady Neva may be rebloomer for you! I just acquired that one this summer and I can't wait until next Spring/Summer to see it bloom in real life! I like those late season bloomers and rebloomers. Sure helps extend the daylily season and keeps the wait to Spring a little shorter with Fall blooms.

I planted a potted Rosy Returns about three weeks ago, and l just noticed it is sending up three rebloom scapes. I hope we don't get early frost

Awesome Candy is still blooming for me and when i got Open My Eyes from the farm last week i noticed it was still sending up a new scape. I however did not get the fan that was reblooming so next year for me. Can't wait.
