With the help of a child, I got my first seeds divided yesterday. So much for even coming close with trying to eyeball the amount. I thought I had no more than 20-30 Golden Alexanders seeds, when I ended up having more than a 100. I think I will be learning a lot through this process.

The non-clickable names issue was addressed in this same thread just a few posts back:

Regarding the clickable issue, here's my observation today...

When I added a few items several days ago using the pulldown menu, the database links appeared.

Today, when I perform the exact same action (even with the same plants) and I do NOT edit anything, the links are not appearing. I can only get the link to appear if I import the plant directly from my "plant list."

(using Firefox, btw)

I didn't edit the name after selecting it -- honest, Dave! Hilarious!

So then I got to thinking... maybe it was because when I was typing the name into the box I only had to get as far as "morning glory split" before that entry showed in the pulldown, along with a number of other entries, and I just clicked the one I wanted out of the group. Thought maybe if I kept typing so that was the only one left in the pulldown it would then link -- but that didn't do it, either.

And after reading Danita's comment, I think the ones in my swap list that ARE clickable were entered using the "add to swap list" icon in my plant list.

And, ta da! By first adding that morning glory to my plant list, then sending it to my swap list from there, the entry is indeed clickable.

So maybe that will help you nail down the problem, Dave; and it should help everyone get their entries in as clickable links (if that's what they want) to the DB in the meantime.
